Key Stage 3 Curriculum
At Key Stage 3, students will follow all the National Curriculum core and foundation subjects.
There is also the opportunity for some students to follow a second Modern Language as they move into Year 8 and 9. Where additional support is needed there are opportunities to develop literacy skills as part of the English and Modern Language curriculum as well as bespoke support in both literacy and numeracy through small group tuition. In Year 7, 8 and 9 students are setted in Maths and Science but are taught in mixed ability groups in all other subjects.
As students move into Year 9 they will follow a Curriculum which is designed to provide a foundation for GCSE study. This will help them develop the skills and knowledge required for Key Stage 4 and will support them in making their choices for GCSE.
