Online Study for Students

Guidelines for working at home

Dear Parent/Carer,

We are entering a period of prolonged school closure where we are all - students, staff and parents and carers - adapting to new circumstances. I can reassure you that our staff are committed to providing the best education we can going forward. I’m sure we will be adapting and improving continually over the coming weeks.

We are committed to updating work for every class on a weekly basis as a minimum. Some teachers may set more in line with their curriculum needs.

We really appreciate your support in ensuring that students spend an appropriate time studying that equates wherever possible to their usual time in lessons. Times for study are recommended, not stipulated. We recognise that households may be managing all manner of logistics not least equitable access to technology in view of working from home and siblings needing to gain prioritised access to technology.

The work is a combination of both on-line and off-line work.

The following are the arrangements for students whilst working at home during the current situation

We discourage students from printing resources from online platforms at home. They can record working in exercise books/loose-leaf paper or electronically. Work is to be submitted according to individual instructions on Class Charts.
