Y7 Admissions FAQS

We have created a Welcome Booklet for parents of new students, which contains everything you need to know:

Below are the most frequently asked questions:

1.  What happens after I've submitted my admission form?

We will contact you again between now and the summer to help you prepare for your child's transition to KEVICC.  In the meantime, please contact us if you have any questions.

2.  Who can I speak to about the Admissions form and documents?

If you have any queries about the forms, documents or policies, please contact our administration team who will be happy to help, on 01803 869200 or administration@kingedwardvi.devon.sch.uk

3.  Can we come and have a look around the school?

Due to the current situation, we are not permitted to run tours or visits.  In the meantime, please use our virtual tours and videos College Tours which provide a good overview of the facilities and departments at KEVICC.  We will contact you if we're able to allow parents on site before the summer.

Devon County Council arrange all school transport, and they can be contacted on 01392 382102 or schooltransportservicequeries-mailbox@devon.gov.uk

Full details are on their website at the link: DCC Transport

We also have an arrangement with AB Coaches in Totnes who run services between Torbay/Marldon and KEVICC.  For further details please call 01803 864161.

7.  Where can I find information about school dinners and your menu?

8.  Will my child's free school meal entitlement continue at KEVICC?

Yes - this will be carried over when your child starts with us, although if you are moving from outside Devon (inc Torbay) you will need to re-apply.  If you've recently become entitled, or if you'd like to check your eligibility, please visit the Devon County Council School Meals webpage FSM Info  or call 0345 155 1019.
