Courier Summer 2014 - page 3

Starting from the next Courier, an expanded
Press Team will be in place and here, in this
Courier, the new year 10 members have written
a double page spread to introduce the new
topics that we will write about in future Couriers.
The new articles, which can be found on the two centre
pages, will focus on the current pressing issues within our
world. We hope we can inform the College about things that
are happening throughout our world, such as the exiting
universe of modern science from Joe Pratt; what the real
value of footballers is, which Immy Jones will be reporting
on and an interesting take on a Cambridge uniform policy
by Hannah Sutton and Eliza Boyacigiller. Oli Tysoe will
be dissecting the labyrinth of world politics and, with an
immersive cooking chat with Anoushka (aka Tommy Hodg-
kins) which will delve into the zen of Indian simplicity with
a Punjabi recipe for Saag Aloo, who could wish for more?!
I am constantly delighted at the success that is expressed
though our College, and the myriad of talents that, as rip-
ening fruit come to their prime with the help of a nurturing
environment, come out with the confidence-building envi-
ronment that our College boasts. Although most recognis-
ably will be the champions of Sports Day (however, for all I
know, it could be cancelled), KEVICC
also possesses those with talents
for the Performing Arts, such as our
KPAC, and all those who performed
in the Summer Concert.
Finally, great praise to all those who
have taken their GCSEs this summer
and all those others who have
striven exceptionally hard with all
their course-work and exams.

Students and staff at Elmhirst will have reason to remember
Kate Mason's time as Principal at KEVICC whenever they
go to the Dining Room for lunch, as their newly-furbished
facilities have been renamed Mason's@Elmhirst in tribute
to her. Catering staff helped rejuvenate the tired area into
the attractive space that is now for everyone to enjoy.
