Never
has
one
man butchered so
many classic songs
at staff karaoke
- see the History
D e p a r t m e n t ’ s
covers of Bohemian

and
Eye of the Tiger!
Never
has
one
man
adorned
himself with such a
ridiculous array of
facial hair – see any
of his Movember
attempts! Derek is unique, irreplaceable.
To say he will be missed does not come
close.
History department
Derek Davies ~ History
Derek has the interest of the students
at the heart of everything he does. His
contribution to KEVICC over a 15 year
period really is too vast to list but suffice it
to sayhewill leaveanunfillable void. Never
has one man enjoyed regaling himself so
much in obscene historical fancy dress -
see the Roman Centurion outfit that would
benefit frommore substantial underwear!

always extremely
supportive, so calm

methodical
and very reassuring
– not only to the

students,
but also to everyone

Susie Reeves-Sharp ~ Dance
Susie, Iwillmiss our
frantic outbursts
of dance ideas,
dancing together,
sharing
advice,
c o n v e r s a t i o n s ,
yoga,
weekend
rehearsals,
your
fashion but, most
of all, your passion and drive for DANCE in
education and beyond. Thank you for all
that you have done here: you will be truly
missed.
Sarah McInally
Susie is an inspirational teacher and
ncredibly talented practitioner. Having
worked professionally in a range of
dance companies, Susie’s experience and
passion have enabled many students
from KEVICC to develop as artists and
pursue their own dance careers. This was
movingly exemplified when many of the
Alumni returned to perform alongside her
at Sprung this year.
Susie - thank you for always expecting the
absolute best andnot settling for anything
less. The sense of discipline, pride and
creativity that you have continually
instilled in our students has allowed
them to believe in their capabilities and
challenge their preconceptions about
Dance and the Creative Arts.

Bianca Flood ~ ICT
Over her twelve
years here, Bianca
has been devoted
to leading and
improving the ICT
department, spear-
heading e-Learning
across the College;
supporting
NQTs
and trainees as
a mentor; organising e-Safety week
activities to engage students, as well as
being an inspiring ICT teacher and tutor.
She has been a supportive colleague and
friend, and we wish her all the best for her
next adventure.
Sarah Down
In her ten years
here, Kerrie has had
a profound effect
on many students,
staff
and
the
community.
She
has been a pillar of
our department for
a number of years
and someone who
always has your
back in whatever you do. Kerrie is fun-
loving, mischievous and is always at the
heart of good times.
She
has
revolutionised
Outdoor
Adventurous Activities in PE, creating
all sorts of new opportunities for the
students, and has also been committed
to building club/school links with the
community. She has devoted time to a
'Speedy' has taught
at the College for
10 years and, in
that time, her fiery
passion has ignited
a huge variety
of
opportunities
for the students.
She has worked
tirelessly at the musical helm for many
College productions such as
Hair
,
West
Side Story
,
The Addams Family
and, most
recently,
Les Misérables
. Her breadth of
talent and musical interest has captured
the interest of so many students whom
she has nurtured and supported as
musicians and performers in her lessons,
at lunch times, after school and at
weekends. Anna is a creative teacher and
has always been excited by the prospect
of doing something ‘big’ and ‘exciting’
to promote music at KEVICC. Last year,
alongside the music team she launched
a hugely ambitious Summer Festival in
partnership with the parents association
and the local community. This was an
incredible event that was completely
jam-packed with talent from our College
and gave such a range of students their
moment to shine.
Seven years ago, Anna and I collaborated
on a KS3 production
His Dark Materials
(an epic scale!!). We had a cast of 80
students and a large KS3 band who wrote
and created the musical accompaniment
for the entire performance. This was no
ordinary score; the group made sounds
from a variety of unusual sources
including glass vibrations and musical
saws!
Anna will continue to create amazing
opportunities for the students who she
works with in the future and their lives
will be all the richer for doing so. We will
miss you Speedy….a massive ‘Thank you
for the music’…….

Gerry Prior ~ Librarian
Gerry
will
be
greatly
missed,
particularly
by
all at Kennicott.
She has worked
so hard to create
a
welcoming
and well stocked
resource for the
staff and Sixth
Form students. Kennicott Library has
become a refuge for students who need a
little extra support and for those wanting
help with research or in finding the right
resource. I will certainly miss the support
and advice she has given me over the
years. Good luck!
Jane Riley
Jen has worked
here as a dyslexia
specialist for the
past 15 years. She
is passionate about
her
specialism
and has always
enthusiastically
sought to obtain
the best possible support for our dyslexic
students, enabling them to achieve their
full potential. With her support, many
students have not only achieved GCSE
and A levels, but have also progressed
on to achieve degrees. She has always
had the ability to nurture and bring out
the best in all our students; just ask Andy
Haley, KEVICC chef! Her students and all
her colleagues will miss her generosity,
friendly smile and helpful advice.
