Induction Tasks and Reading Lists 2023
The jump step-up from GCSE to Level 3 (A Level and BTEC L3) is challenging, and it is vital that you establish a confident understanding of your new courses as soon as possible. To help you do this, your sixth form teachers have prepared induction tasks which prepare you for the start of your course. These have been designed to give you background knowledge and a flavour of what you can expect to study in the subject in Years 12 and 13.
You will need to work independently through the materials for the subjects you are intending to study. You can, of course, look at other subjects that might interest you, if you are still unsure of one or more of your choices.
Bring your completed tasks with you to your lessons in the first week back in September. Completion of these tasks is a requirement of your enrolment at Kennicott Sixth Form. They can be found by using the menu provided on the right.
In addition to the induction tasks, you will find suggested reading lists. It is not an expectation that you will have read all of these materials! These lists are there to guide you, should you wish to complete some wider reading and research over the summer, prior to starting your courses.
